*The Armenian Genocide was carried out by the "Young Turk" government of the Ottoman Empire in 1915-1916 One and a half million Armenians were killed, out of a total of two and a half million Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
*Celebrated on April 24th each year because it was on this day in 1915 that 300 Armenian leaders were rounded up, deported, and killed.
*Armenians were taken from their homes forced to relocate and marched to concentration camps.
*The Armenian was extremely cruel and unusual punishment to all who were involved. Many people who were involved still have many relatives that tell their story. It is important that the end of this genocide be celebrated because these people deserved to be treated right. I believe that all of the leaders being killed in the end was exactly what they deserved.
*The way that these Armenian people were taken from their homes and forced to occupy concentration camps was very disturbing. All of the treatment that these people received was horrifying.
